I've been a geek from the get-go, my fascination with music sparked by a transistor radio from my grandma at age six and a box of old singles from my uncle. From humble beginnings at CKUW, I journeyed through CJRL, KX-96, Q94-FM, and eventually CFNY (The Edge). After a stint at Y95 and Corus Interactive, I launched ExploreMusic and helmed The Ongoing History of New Music and The Secret History of Rock.
Post-2011, I collaborated with various broadcasters before joining Central Ontario Broadcasting to launch Indie 88. A return to Corus led to the revival of The Ongoing History. In 2015, I co-founded the Music Technology Group, fostering connections in music and tech.
Beyond radio, I've authored books, hosted TV shows, and founded Major League Mixes. My career spans script editing, consulting, TV appearances, and more, including a stint at Songza. My interests have taken me worldwide, from music festivals to documentaries, leaving little wonder why kids aren't part of the equation.
