SEQUESTERED is a cinematic true-crime podcast hosted by Sara Reid, whose firsthand experience serving on a homicide jury inspired the breakout first season and gives the show a distinct insider perspective on the justice system. Through immersive storytelling, archival audio, and atmospheric sound design, the series reconstructs investigations while exploring the emotional weight carried by victims, families, investigators, and jurors. After expanding in Seasons 2 and 3 into other haunting murder and missing-person cases, SEQUESTERED returns in Season 4 with a focused journey into 1980s disappearances. These are cases from a pre-digital era, when people could vanish and leave investigators with only fragments: a last sighting, a narrow timeline, and lingering questions. Each episode unfolds like a case file, combining meticulous research with gripping narrative storytelling.
